When does the year begin?
As far as nature is concerned, the year begins with the Spring Equinox.
That’s when it begins.
This is the first turn of the wheel is Possibility.
The first turn is Spring.
The Energy of Spring
Have you ever considered how much energy it takes the trees, shrubs, plants and flowers to push their way through the cold hard soil of winter?
It takes an incredible amount of energy to bring spring into being.
Spring is now dressed in her Sunday best. Everywhere there are beautiful yellow and orange spring flowers and trees covered in white blossom line avenues and roads.
Yesterday whilst driving I’ve noticed that Cherry Plum standing proudly in a row of skeleton-looking trees. It was a mass of white flowers and in the next week, the new buds on the trees will begin to unfold their yellowy-green leaves.
Spring is bursting forth everywhere. (At least, it is in the northern hemisphere).
All this takes tremendous energy.

However this need for more energy in Spring is not just revelant to shrubs and flowers!
Have you ever thought that WE also need a lot of energy to bring us from the cold, dark days of winter into the light of spring? Especially as the weather is not yet stable and we’re still having grey damp days.
Remedy Suggestions to help you have more energy for Spring
However, I’m sure you’d like some Bach Flower suggestions to help with low energy levels now.
Here’s quick tip: – always look at why your feeling as you are. I’ll show you what I mean in my remedy suggestions.

Olive
The first and obvious remedy to give you more energy is Olive. The fatigue of Olive comes from having a prolonged illness, such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ME or Covid.
Those with chronic disease live in a constant state of exhaustion, even the smallest of movements exhausts them. The ‘Why’ to needing Olive is that you’ve been through or are living with a prolonged, debilitating illness.

Hornbeam
Hornbeam is known as ‘The Monday Morning Feeling’. Its for when you think you don’t have the energy strength to get through the day (You do really, but it might take you a couple of hours and a few cups of coffee to get going).
You will go into a Hornbeam state when you become bored with your work and you find it tedious. Your work no longer brings you joy. 2 drops of Hornbeam into glass of water and sipped frequently, will return your motivation and give you the energy to do all that needs to be done. (Or even 2 drops into your first cup of coffee or tea, will make a huge difference!)

Wild Rose
This remedy is similar to Hornbeam with the feeling of ‘can’t be bothered’, but there is a different cause. In a Wild Rose state, you’ve become “defeated by time and endeavour”. This means you’ve been working so hard for so long and have got nowhere.
So you feel resigned and apathetic about the situation and you think there’s nothing you can do to change your life – so you don’t do anything.
Another Remedy suggestion you could try for Spring:
Wild Oat. This can help you find purpose and give meaning to your life. If your life has no meaning you’ll be weary and lethargic.

Hello Kelly. Thank you for leaving a Chat. It’s a pleasure to help.
I’m glad to hear the blog was just what you needed.
I’m sure some of the remedies will help you.
Take care. Rose
Thanks Rose, yes I’ve noticed the cherry plum blossom out here in Scotland and the sloe trees blossoming too. Its interesting that the blossoms develop straight onto the bare branches before the trees and shrubs come into leaf. This gives a sense of a white haze of blossoms against the dark bare branches. The blossom is busy, so busy it can’t wait for the leaves to form, I suppose this is why the cherry plum is such a strong essence.
Hello Heather. Thank you for your chat about the spring trees in bloom. They really do give a splendid welcome to Spring don’t they?
Cherry Plum is an amazing remedy. I hope all is well with you. Rose
So timely! I love this! Thank you Rose ✨

Hello Lesley. thank you leaving a Comment.
I’m sorry you’re feeling a little lost at the moment. Try Wild Oat (on its own) for 7 days. It might give you some direction.

Hello dear Rose Thank you for these wonderful tips on how to get more energy during spring time Hornbeam and Wild Oat are really good for me, helping me to focus and get things done I find that a sense of purpose and direction is so important in life
Hell0 Heidi. It’s a pleasure. You mention ‘Wild Oat’ works well with Hornbeam. I can unerstand them working well togeher. However, I have found that Hornbeam (bored witgh the tedium of work) goes will with Wild Rose – (Apathy and resignation).
I generally take Wild Oat when I’m looking for direction. Even when I’m not sure how to go forward with one project, Wild Oat helps.
And I do believe that a sense of purpose and direction is important – in fact, its the core of a happy life.
Thanks for leaving a comment. Much appreciated.
Thank you Heidi.

Hi Rose
Although we’re heading for autumn/winter ( in S Africa) Im going to try the above mixture.
We have experienced devastating fires and the last few weeks have been exceptionally hot and exhausting. Im.am dtsrting a new practice in Reflexology as well. All the above resonate with me.
Enjoy your spring xx
Greetings from down here.
The other Rose.
Hello Rosemary. Thank you for writting. I’m sorry to hear about the devastating fires. Although I have extended family in SA, I was not aware of the fires. This is not good.
When I lived in Rhodesia/Zimabwe, I couldn’t stand the October heat. And then in Dubai I suffered badly too. It was then I started to work out which Bach Flowers would best help me live with the heat.
So here is a blog with remedy suggestions for the heat.

I hope the fires are soon brought under control, and there is not too much damage.

Love this…another very helpful blog
Hello Christine. I’m glad the blog was helpful. I don’t think many people realise that the Remedies can be used in many ‘everyday’ circumstances when we’re not feeling quite ourselves!
Thank you for your kind comments. Rose.
